FIFA is a global non-profit association that defines itself as a global governing body for Association football. It is the fourth largest governing body for sport on the planet. FIFA has been effective as a result of its dedication to development and international fair play, and its commitment to preserving and encouraging competitions, irrespective of the type of sport. The competition continues to improve worldwide with groups affiliated from several nations.

FIFA is governed by a board of directors chosen every year in the members of their FIFA member associations, namely, the regulating association FIFA, the confederation FIFA, the federal associations of football. The members are also represented by a General Secretariat, who's chosen or appointed by the presidents of the constituent associations. The FIFA member institutions are determined on through a practice of electing a series of qualified candidates through voting based in their states of origin or according to their sports accomplishments and past performances in the FIFA congress and regional and domestic matches. After being approved by the majority of votes, members are considered qualified to stand for election to represent their nations in the FIFA elections. Candidates running for FIFA president elect to symbolize their countries based on their performance in the FIFA polls.

The former FIFA president, Sepp Blatter, has announced his retirement after serving since FIFA secretary general since 1996. However, several notable FIFA official, most notably, FIFA vice president, Chuck Blazer, and the former FIFA vice president, Eugenio Di Giacometti have both quit the FIFA executive places on different occasions since Blatter took within the FIFA place. This has raised many concerns about the leadership in FIFA as well as also the culture of corruption within the association.

Another step towards reform is the introduction of a new system by which the winning team of every tournament is determined. Presently, FIFA doesn't have a method in place for deciding who has awarded the Cup. The introduction of this system would reduce the chance of corruption in the association. FIFA is also contemplating changing the name of the four nations that form the FIFA committee as well as the names of the four nations that form the FIFA executive board in order to raise accountability.

FIFA is one of the most popular sports worldwide and is appreciated by millions of people. Countless fans turn out for matches featuring the significant teams and international players from all over the world. FIFA is also keen on creating amateur and youth participation in the tournament. Presently, the ranking system for the tournaments relies on the points each nation receives out of their regular season games. This ranking system isn't reasonable for the host nations, as they just receive three points for every game won; however, the points that a team receives gains based on the operation of its federal teams throughout the World Cup year.

The World Cup is a contest that has been plagued with controversy since its beginning. Host countries have refused to join with the FIFA because of the political problems involved. However, in recent years many changes have been made to the structure of this contest, most particularly the rankings system. The introduction of the rankings system has meant that we now have more teams competing in the championship, ensuring a much greater degree of competitiveness. In addition to this ranking system, FIFA is trying to boost its infrastructure, which makes the games more exciting and fun for fans.
