The Campeonato Nacional de la Premio Diviose, otherwise known as La Liga is the highest level professional soccer league in Spain. Included in this Federation of Football Associations governing body, the league has a separate legal and financial system compared to other world football leagues.
There are three stages that determine the results of each game: the launching phase, the Clausura and the championship stage. Each phase is broken up into three matches, with the winners receiving three points and the loser's one point. The Clausura is thought to be the most significant part any La Liga fixture. The winner of the stage automatically receives a qualification into the league playoffs, where the four teams that reached the playoffs get one point each and the runners-up drop one.
The most intriguing point of any La Liga season is which group wins the Clausura, or the tournament. The runners-up are usually the weakest at the tournament table that have the hardest task to accomplish success, having only one real chance to win the title. Contrary to the cups which decide which teams are in and which are out, the Clausura decides who's in and who's out! Each week another pair of champions emerge from the drama. The recent winners, Real Madrid, are currently the kings of the league, although FC Barcelona is second and Sevilla thirdparty.
The recent champions, Real Madrid, haven't yet tasted defeat in their last seven games, although they've just drawn once. Despite this, Sevilla, that are sitting in fourth, are guaranteed to raise the trophy this season. Barcelona are also well positioned to claim third position, although they're relying heavily on their defence and attacking abilities to acquire the title. If they can do this without scoring too many goals, they will almost certainly win the cup.
Sevilla is also likely to be fighting for fourth place, having lost four of their previous five matches. Meanwhile, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also highly likely to fight it out for fifth and sixth. There's a lot to pick between in this particular competition, making it among the most exciting leagues not only in Spain but in the whole world. With just six teams in total, it is certainly among the most competitive on the planet.
Both Real Madrid and Barcelona should win their respective league matches to be considered title contenders, which means that the race is far from over. Ensure that you create your La Liga predictions first, so that you can start betting early and take advantage of big bets before everyone else does!
